When the Warriors visited President Barack Obama at the White House on Thursday to honor Golden State’s championship last season, head coach Steve Kerr thanked Obama for his work on a hot-button issue in the upcoming election.

He also poked fun at Warriors sharpshooting guard Steph Curry “clowning” on the court.

Golden State could have its eye on a major free-agent pickup in the offseason, as revealed by coach Steve Kerr Thursday at the White House.

The Warriors, based in Oakland, California, beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in last year’s National Basketball Association finals to win their first championship for 40 years. “We want you as soon as your duties are done here in the White House, we’d like you to be the leader of Dub Nation”. “Either way he’s got the record”, Obama said.

Stephen, 27, and Ayesha Curry’s superstar daughter Riley, 3, has stolen the hearts of pretty much everyone in the country – and that includes President Barack Obama.

Golden State (45-4) obliterated Washington early with Curry providing the firepower, including 36 points in the first half on 13-of-14 shot attempts with eight from beyond the arc.

‘I don’t play anymore but I still know a little bit about basketball and this really is one of the best that we’ve ever seen. Still in his sweat-soaked game uniform, still trying to grapple with what he had just done, Curry was having as hard of a time explaining his ridiculous night as everyone who witnessed it. “They play as a team the way basketball is supposed to be played”.

He did shower them with praise, however, in particular referencing the team’s small-ball lineup, which he called, “A nuclear lineup”. The Warriors became the eighth team in National Basketball Association history to finish the season with a double-digit point differential (plus-12.7 net points per 100 possessions) and moved into third place for most three-pointers made (883), led by Stephen Curry’s NBA-record 286 threes during the regular season. He’s the best player making the biggest impact on the NBA’s best team.

In 25 games played for the Hawks, Holiday has averaged 2.4 points in just over 10 minutes.

There are a lot of things you poke at here to downplay John Wall’s performance against the Warriors: Curry outplayed him, the Warriors didn’t put together their best effort defensively, and he didn’t make enough of an impact defensively to get the Warriors out of their rhythm.

‘Consider this a symbol of an offer that’s coming, ‘ Kerr said as he presented Obama with the jersey and the president demonstrated his shooting form.
