A 15-year-old boy opened fire with a handgun inside his high school in rural western Kentucky yesterday, killing two fellow students and wounding 13 other youths before he was arrested.

After running to a field, he and others were taken to the school’s tech center, a separate building from the main school, Ray said. “All these kids know each other, they hang out with each other”, he told The Associated Press.

The two fatally shot 15-year-olds have been identified by State Police Commissioner Richard W. Sanders as Bailey Holt and Preston Cope.

A witness to the shooting in a Kentucky high school Tuesday says he had just arrived as the mayhem unfolded and was able to rush his friend to the hospital. The dead – a boy and a girl – were both 15 years old.

The authorities plan to search the suspect’s home as they investigate his motives. Michael Carneal, then 14, opened fire there about two years before the fatal attack at Columbine High School in Colorado, ushering in an era when mass school shootings have become much more common.

The governor and several people in Benton said they couldn’t believe a mass shooting would happen in their small, close-knit town.

Caporali was eating breakfast when she heard a shot, turned and saw the teenager with the gun.

Morton, also a senior, saved the Word document he was working on and then took cover in the library.

A day after the deadly shooting at Marshall County High School, investigators continued peeling back layers in the case while people spent the day supporting those affected by the shooting.

“If he was hurting, I wish we all would’ve known that and would’ve helped him instead of him doing a tragedy, like we don’t know what was wrong”, Lyles said. “There was bullets flying everywhere”.

One patient at Vanderbilt University Children’s Hospital was released Wednesday, while three male patients in the adult hospital were upgraded to stable condition, spokeswoman Kristin Smart said. It’s what we need.

In 2016, West’s original school marshals bill was assigned to the Senate Committee on Licensing, Occupations and Administrative Regulations, but it did not get a hearing. Fortunately, that friend survived but ” It made us stop and ask ourselves what more we can do by using our own talents and creativity to drive awareness of the daily gun deaths happening every day in America”, he says. I just don’t know if I can, but I want him to pay for everything he’s done. “Just terrified for their kids”, he added.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the students and faculty at Marshall County High School, where there has been a tragic school shooting”.
