On Presidential Debate, Trump Mentions Howard Stern, Sean Hannity

“I wouldn’t say he was unfair”.

At the September 26 presidential debate in Hempstead, N.Y., moderator Lester Holt posed to Trump that he “had supported the war in Iraq before the invasion”.

Trump did publicly oppose the war, but not until after it started. Fox is either transparently lying or totally deluded.

Donald Trump accused Hillary Clinton of “fighting ISIS your entire adult life”, which is impossible since the group only came into existence after the invasion of Iraq.

“I know Trump”, O’Reilly said.

“You want to approve the Trans-Pacific Partnership”, Trump said at the debate. She used it to zero in on Trump’s repeated complaints over why the USA won’t deploy its nuclear weapons arsenal, or isn’t willing to allow other countries to develop nuclear weapons; his threats to withdraw from North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and incitements of Islamophobia, and his pledges to renegotiate world powers’ agreement over Iran’s nuclear program. Except it doesn’t do that, at all.

Trump shrugged off a 2002 comment he made on the radio when Howard Stern asked if he was in favor of invading Iraq – “Yeah, I guess so“. This isn’t opposing the war – it’s actually criticizing Bush for dilly-dallying about the invasion.

Trump continued: “Perhaps he shouldn’t be doing it yet”.

When asked about his failure to release his tax returns, Trump responded that he’d be happy to release his tax returns once a routine audit was completed. I know you like the president and all that stuff, a little less than some of the folks at MSNBC, but we got thrown out of Iraq.

TRUMP: Well, I’m starting to think that people are much more focused on the economy.

The challenge with Trump’s claim is that we can’t go back in time and get inside his head, so we’ll never know what his private thoughts were. Let me tell you, as sure as you’re sitting there, Iran’s going to take over Iraq, and they’re going to take over those oil reserves.

It’s sort of like, either do it or don’t do it. But he stopped short of saying that he was among those opponents.

Depends on the definition of small: The Washington Post takes issue with the “small” loan Trump got from his father. More than a year later, in an interview with Esquire, Trump offered his most critical take, predicting destabilization once the United States left and no gain for the nation.

O’REILLY: Look, I can then report this.

Fox News’s legendary propaganda machine has completely failed Donald Trump. It omits the fact that it also has been rejected by Cavuto himself.

Trump’s rival, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, said in response to a question about terrorism that Trump “supported the invasion of Iraq” in 2003. A few interviews were mentioned specifically, including a 2003 conversation with Fox Business Network host Neil Cavuto.
