The No. 11 Horned Frogs beat the No. 15 Ducks 47-41 in triple overtime, erasing a 31-0 halftime deficit despite playing without star quarterback Trevone Boykin, who was arrested early Thursday morning, and injured star receiver Josh Doctson. The combination of defensive lapses and offensive struggles allowed TCU to match Texas Tech’s 2006 Insight Bowl win against Minnesota as the largest comeback in bowl history.
“It’s just one of those teams“, TCU head coach Gary Patterson said. They’ve never really quit. “They made one more play that we did”. Bram Kohlhausen, who had a shaky first half, looked like the same quarterback that nearly led TCU to an upset win in Norman, throwing the ball with confidence and making plays with his legs. “We’ve had to do that before”.

Any team could have rolled over after such a awful first half, and many would have.
TCU scored on all of its possessions in the second half and overtime.
