Panthers All-Pro LB Thomas Davis suffers injury to right arm

January 28 20:38 2016

Davis was ruled out at halftime, which is bad news for the Panthers moving forward. Here is a video of the injury.

Davis broke his arm in the second quarter of Carolina’s 49-15 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday in the NFC championship.

“There are some limitations”, Davis admitted Thursday in the locker room to reporters.

We spoke with a sports medicine specialist from Novant Health to discuss Davis’ broken arm.

It was painful, ” Davis said.

Davis was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2015, an honor he and his nine Panthers teammates had to bypass to prepare for the Super Bowl. If anyone can play with a broken arm, it is Thomas Davis. He had been having a big game before the injury. “There is something about his conviction and I think that’s what makes him who he is today”. I’m definitely proud to be the first player to come back from that and still be able to play at a high level.

No matter how things turn out, no one can ever question Davis’ toughness again. “No limitations. So I’m just focused on a normal week”.

Davis has played his entire career with the Panthers, and was given the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in 2015 for his charity work. In rehabbing his ACL injuries, he had surgery followed with numerous months of rehab.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning reaffirmed his stance as players returned to practice for the Super Bowl that the Al-Jazeera America report last month linking him and his wife to human grown hormone is false. “I have no doubt that, that as long as everything continues to heal like it’s supposed to, he’ll be out there”. But with Thompson knocking Fitzgerald off his routes, the perennial Pro Bowler finished with four catches for 30 yards, and he dropped two passes. He said immediately afterward that he would be ready for the Super Bowl.
