All season long, Carolina’s opponents have waited for the Panthers to falter.

Newton powered an offense that topped 30 points for the third straight game and the seventh game in eight outings, and one week after almost blowing a big lead against the Seattle Seahawks, the unit never let up.

“His play action game is unbelievable”, Campbell said.

“We’ve been dreaming about this moment since Day 1. We’re going to be excited”. Denver, of course, has made a habit of going to Super Bowls, reaching it for a record-tying eighth time. “They both have great arms and can throw the ball and put their teams in position to win”.

“We knew from the get-go when he first got here”, said center Ryan Kalil, like Newton an All-Pro, “we had something special”. It’s not over yet.

Manning, of course, will get so much of the attention over the next two weeks. Seven different players on the Cardinals caught at least two touchdown passes this season, including two having 1000-yard seasons. The Cardinals trailed 17-7 a few minutes before halftime and for the first time had some momentum, but his turnover gave it all back to the Panthers.

What’s next: The Carolina Panthers will meet the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, Calif. Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning will attempt to finish the season – and perhaps his career – in storybook fashion with his second Super Bowl victory.

Newton completed 19 of 28 passes for 335 yards and added 47 yards on 10 rushes. He also had 52 yards on two receptions. But Larry Fitzgerald is obviously the one to look out for. Watch the vide to see why I don’t think so.

Fifteen seconds later, Kuechly returned an interception 22 yards for a touchdown.

The defense of the Carolina Panthers simply dominated this game and stopped Carson Palmer and the Cardinals from doing anything.

Predicting the AFC and NFC Championship Games Will either game be close?

The Panthers capitalized quickly. Most folks figure his fourth Super Sunday will be the last time he dons a helmet.

Cornerback Patrick Peterson wasn’t disappointed that he tried to catch a second-quarter punt while on the run, only the result. Five plays later he took a pitch from Cam Newton, raced around left end on a reverse, changed fields and scored. He had several jarring hits that set the tone for the Panthers to build a 17-0 lead. Another botched tackle, this one at the Carolina 47 by Rashad Johnson, left Brown with nothing but unprotected turf.

The Patriots lost their last two regular season games to squander home-field advantage.

“With the misdirection they do, they do a great job of bringing guys in motion, running the ball back from where the motion came”, Johnson said.

There were plenty more of those during the trophy celebration, and fans danced in the stands as the loudspeaker played “Shout”. He threw two interceptions against the Packers and almost threw three more.
