A passenger on board Daallo Airlines flight D3159 from Mogadishu to Djibouti captured the tense scene on board.

Emerging reports suggests that a plane has been forced to make an emergency landing at Mogadishu on Tuesday, February 2. Three passengers sustained injuries, with one of them in a critical condition, officials confirmed. The plane was on course to travel to Djibouti, in the Horn of Africa. We don’t know what caused it … As the cabin depressurized, oxygen masks deployed.

United Nations Somalia deputy representative Awale Kullane was on the flight, and posted pictures of the damage online, as well as a description.

Meanwhile, a dead body of an old man believed to have been one of the passengers of the plane has been found in a district located in the outskirts of Mogadishu. He posted video from inside the plane on his Facebook page.

“We just heard a loud noise and couldn’t see anything but smoke for a few seconds, when visibility returned we realised quite a chunk of the plane missing”, he wrote.

Once on the ground, the plane was met by emergency crews and police, who were stunned to find a giant hole in the side of the plane.

According to AirLive.net, passengers were moved away from the gaping hole to the back of the plane.

“It wasn’t an explosion however a fuselage failure at 10,000ft”, he told.

A passenger filmed the interior of the aircraft still airborne just after the explosion.
