Many “Pokemon Go” players around the world are up in arms over developer Niantic Labs’ move to ban Pokevision and other third-party Pokemon tracking apps from the game.
Battery life has been an issue for Pokemon Go players from the start, with the game sapping charge rapidly.
Pokemon Go players, rejoice.
Niantic’s highest priority, however, is ensuring that Pokémon GO will see its global release sooner rather than later.
Pokemon Go is still in the news - like the Energizer Bunny, it keeps going and going and going. Niantic isn’t exactly punishing people for cheating so this is a trend that is likely to persist, that is if the game will continue to be popular.
On July 31, Niantic issued an update that that disabled the in-game tracking system, created to show how close Pokemon were to your location.
Pokemon Go is now available on iOS and Android based smartphone devices. Think about that number for a minute, also keeping in mind that many AAA games don’t even manage to make that kind of money that this mobile game is making. Some people from different areas showed on Facebook and Reddit their Pokédex with Articuno in it, the Legendary Bird type ice from the first generation.
Many players around the world download the APK file from third party Android stores to play the game unofficially. “3 step” tracking feature let the app alert the users of a nearby pokemon with the help of little footprints displaying the silhouette of the little creatures in the bottom right corner of the screen.
However, the feature broke soon after the game was launched, so Niantic chose to disable the feature as part of its July 31 update. Also, the fans can also expect that some legacy Pokemon in the game will be receiving a new evolution, adding to their present line of evolving.
Others say that this shouldn’t be possible on “Pokemon Go” but Niantic did not confirm, deny, or specify that each time only gets to have one legendary bird.
