Pokemon Sun and Moon Out This Holiday

The announcement came on the 20th anniversary of the first two Pokemon games being released in Japan in 1996. Obviously we’ll hear something about the Virtual Console releases of Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow.

Well the brief Nintendo Direct is over, and we didn’t get too much information. Nintendo has previously registered “Pokemon” trademarks for games that have never been released, gaming site Kotaku reported. “I can’t wait to see what fans think of the new adventures they’ll find in Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon“.

Besides the leaks of Pokemon Sun and Moon, the post by NeoGAF user Trevelyan9999 – itself apparently based on Nintendo’s USA marketing budget for 2016 – also claims that the Nintendo NX will release by the end of the year. Developed by Game Freak, the games were eventually ported to North America as Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue in September 1998. Pokemon became a cultural phenomenon worldwide with its video games, television shows, trading cards and movies. “Pokemon” characters have appeared in “Super Smash Bros.”, but Nintendo’s game features a full roster of pocket monsters that players can control. Some of them were also imported (Ruby and Sapphire – Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, from Gameboy Advance to Nintendo 3DS), as well as certain sequels (Black 2 and White 2).

No matter how you look at it, Pokemon is a game for the ages.
