A McDonald’s worker was stabbed to death Monday by a man he had just ejected from the restaurant, police sources said.
Police have not recovered the weapon used to stab Garcia.
According to the NYPD, officers responded to a 911 call at 4:27 a.m. and found Garcia with “multiple stab wounds to the torso”.
Authorities say the 28-year-old, who lived a few blocks away in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, was attacked after he tried to escort the suspect out of the outlet.
Garcia walked back into the McDonald’s after being stabbed and collapsed on the restaurant floor.
“The safety of my customers and employees remains a top priority and I will assist the New York City Police Department in their investigation in any way possible”, Treftz said.
“He was a family person, always did what was right”, said one cousin.
Garcia’s cousin, Karen, said he loved his family and took his job seriously.
Police are now searching for the assailant.
