Guardiola confirmed that he would be leaving at the end of the ongoing Bundesliga season and his agent, Josep Maria Orobitg, hinted that the 44-year-old is leaning towards a move to the Premier League.

According to “Sport” magazine, PSG’s president called the coach’s agent and started negotiating with him. We have never discussed Pep’s situation and PSG has not asked me anything about his plans.

It’s understood that Man City is in pole position for the two-time Champions League victor, largely owing to the relationship between Guardiola and the club’s senior executives Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain.

Bayern Munich legend Ottmar Hitzfeld told Bild that the club will not miss outgoing boss Pep Guardiola, who is a “tactics freak” and lacks interpersonal skills.

The Daily Star quoted a source as saying: “Pep always found the club fascinating”.

It is understood that current Manchester United manager Van Gaal will be dimissed if United lose either of their next two games, which are against Stoke and Chelsea.
