The PlayStation Network Service Status page shows that all online services are experiencing issues and many gamers have reported that they were unable to access the gaming portal. The issue has impacted all platforms now using the PSN service, so don’t expect to be able to login or play games on PS3, PS4, or PS Vita if they require a connection.
The company has a history with outages of the PlayStation Network, which connects multiplayer games on its consoles and also hosts its digital storefront. “Not good enough! Are you going to be giving refunds on our PlayStation+ accounts?” wrote one frustrated fan.
There’s no scheduled maintenance planned and it’s now unclear who or what is causing the latest PSN outage which is effecting PlayStation users across the globe.
It said that people were having problems getting online and that its “engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible”.
You may have some difficulty accessing features and products on the PlayStation Store.
The PlayStation Network also suffered server problems over the just-passed holidays, hit by higher than expected traffic from new users and core gamers buying during a timed sales event. Let us know in the comments.
