Rain chances continue, another system possible Thursday

April 25 14:31 2018

Weak front to bring Wednesday night rain. There may be one or two dots of rain early Friday morning but generally, it should remain dry. It will be a picture flawless spring weekend.

After a weekend dip in temperatures, we rise into the 70s and near 80 by the middle part of next week. After lows tonight in the mid 30s to around 40, we will climb back into the 60s tomorrow. So far, the weekend does look dry, and things appear to turn a bit cool for just a day on Sunday, with highs in the upper 50s.

Confidence comes down next Wednesday through Friday as models are back and forth on the timing of a couple fronts. Some areas along and west of the river will see rain totals over a half inch. There will be a few clouds around, and a stray shower may be possible, but I only have a 20% rain chance. We will see clouds thin out this evening with low clouds and patchy fog possible into Wednesday morning. All rights reserved. Highs on Thursday will top out in the mid-60s before dropping into the mid-40s. Highs in the low 70s. Highs should reach the upper 60s to near 70, with light winds from the northwest and west around 5 to 10 miles per hour. I also think we pick up some rain chances in the afternoon, especially in the southern counties near the Kentucky/Virginia/Tennessee border. Most of next week will be unseasonably warm.
