It was a surreal scene, especially just four days before the Patriots are set to host the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Championship Game.
Belichick’s answer was followed with “I don’t know, we’ll see” when asked for his level of concern about Brady being able to play with the injury Sunday.
Brady injured his throwing hand Wednesday, after reportedly jamming his hand when a teammate accidentally ran into him during practice.
The media session finally went down on Friday, and as you can imagine, all anyone wanted to talk about it was Brady’s injured hand, which was covered up during the press conference if anyone showed up hoping to sneak a peek at Brady’s injured hand, Brady made that impossible because HE WORE GLOVES.
“I was out there”, was all Brady would say about Friday’s practice, specifically declining to say whether he threw any footballs.
Brady – wearing red gloves on both hands – was kept out of Thursday’s full-pads practice after taking part in warmups.
When Malcolm Butler was asked whether he thinks Brady will play, Butler said, “I think so”. Those throws must be on the money for the Patriots to play their dink and dunk offense that breaks down most teams and breaks open most games, but if Brady is hurt the Jags might actually win.
“If you’ve been working on a play all year, a lot of coordinators, you might as well call it”, Belichick told reporters a year ago. “He just hates that gnat just always around”, said Dareus, who might be more familiar than any Jacksonville player with Brady, having spent six-plus seasons with the Bills. “That’s what we’re going to do”.
Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles has made plays with his legs the last two weeks, something that Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia said makes the Jaguars a “very risky group”.

The only other quarterback on the roster is Brian Hoyer, who was signed following the trade of Jimmy Garoppolo to the San Francisco 49ers.
“We have the same decision every week”, he said.
Zolak said the Jaguars have a chance against the Patriots, especially after how they played against the Steelers. They’re well coached. I know that, for sure.
Patriots fans said they’re anxious about the injury, but aren’t panicking yet.
That injury paved the way for Brady, who has helped the team win five Super Bowl titles.
