‘Real Housewives’ star Teresa Giudice released from prison

Joe, who was sentenced to 41 months, will begin his service time in March at the Fox Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey. Her lawyer, James J. Leonard, Jr., confirmed to People shortly after that Giudice “is free”.

Once Giudice has arrived to her New Jersey home, she received an early Christmas present from husband Joe – a $90,000 Lexus.

As for her husband of 16 years, Joe Giudice stood guard outside the home’s garage in the early morning darkness to greet his wife after almost a year apart from her. She looked very happy and excited to be out, and she had quite the drive back to New Jersey to see her kids.

Several of Teresa’s loved ones have Tweeted out messages to Teresa, welcoming her back home, including daughter Gia, Andy Cohen and more.

Giudice, 43, and the second highest paid star in the Bravo “Housewives” franchise, apparently did some primping in a prison bathroom, using make-up products purchased from the prison commissary, People and TMZ reported.

Giudice will be spending a “nice, quiet, low-key” holiday with her family, and won’t be making any public appearances in the coming days, Leonard said.

Both Giudices admitted past year to hiding hundreds of thousands of dollars in income and assets, lying to get loans and mortgages, and filing bogus bankruptcy documents. Rumour has it that she will start filming The Real Housewives of New Jersey soon and fans are excited to see what she’s been up to in jail.

Giudice entered the minimum-security satellite camp for women, made popular by the hit Netflix show “Orange Is the New Black“, in January. A federal judge staggered the couple’s sentences in deference to their daughters.
