Relationship With India Will Continue To Be Stronger: White House

January 31 03:34 2017

Wrapping up his first week in office, President Donald Trump embarrassed himself, our nation and people of conscience across the globe with a cowardly and foolish executive order barring refugees and others from our land. In those banned (Syria, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen), he does not. If we send a signal to the Middle East that the USA sees all Muslims as jihadis, the terrorist recruiters win by telling kids that America is banning Muslims and that this is America versus one religion…

“We’re here now because tens of millions of Americans have placed their hopes in us to transfer power in Washington, D.C., and give it back to the people”, Trump said in a speech in Washington last week. But the order doesn’t affect many major Muslim-majority countries, even those with a serious terrorism problem, like Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.

“People experience this all the time, sometimes going in and out of TSA”, he said.

“On behalf of the people of Virginia, I urge President Trump and leaders in Washington to reverse this policy and restore our nation to its place as a beacon of opportunity for all”, he said in a statement.

“It is not a ban” on Muslims, Portman said on CNN’s “State of the Union”. I don’t think that… They deserve to be assured those seeking entry into the country – regardless of the length of stay – have been vetted thoroughly and do not represent a security risk.

Similar sentiments have been echoed at other protests at airports in cities in the Lower 48, including New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles.

White House officials say that several of the top immigration staff members in Congress did review the order’s language, and that the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel reviewed it as well.

Protesters packed numerous country’s major airports over the weekend protesting the executive order.

President Trump is making America great by forcing the federal government to waste resources screening and detaining children instead of looking for the real threats both at home and overseas.

US President Donald Trump is taking decisive steps to “defeat and destroy” ISIS, the White House said today, terming the destruction of the dreaded terror group’s capabilities a “humanitarian imperative”. We worry Trump’s order hands extremist recruiters working for the degenerates of the Islamic State and al-Qaeda powerful evidence to argue our nation is at war with all Muslims. Many have accused the administration of rushing to implement the changes, resulting in panic and confusion at the nation’s airports.

Trump, meanwhile, defended his actions, saying in a statement that America “will continue to show compassion to those fleeing oppression” while protecting its own citizens.

This order does not affect the vast majority of Muslims in the world. We are the most welcoming and generous country in the world, and we are a country of immigrants.

On Saturday, hundreds of protesters gathered at Dulles Airport holding signs and chanting, “No hate, no fear”. The order also includes a 120-ban on admitting refugees and an indefinite halt on admitting refugees from Syria.

McCaul specifically said the US should not “turn away” people who have green cards or “who have risked their lives serving alongside our forces overseas or who call America their home”.
