Rick and Michonne say yes to love on ‘The Walking Dead’

March 06 12:44 2017

Michonne screams and runs over, hearing desperate gunshots as the walkers close in and feast on Rick. These supplies include pretzels and a new battery for the walkie that Jesus procured in a previous episode. As Rick told Michonne, there will be losses on all sides in this battle against the Saviors. And he seems to be convinced that one or both of them could die in the conflict, although he wasn’t very convincing when he claimed that he or Michonne could carry on without the other. They brought 68 guns, but it is not enough for Jadis.

Rick and his son Carl also saw a deer back in season two in the woods. Normally this would be an easy pass – but numerous walkers were military, still carrying their impressive arsenal of weapons. News Everyday theorized her character could be getting Holly’s death from The Walking Dead comic series. Alas, the roof they are standing on collapses before they can try. But with time running out and the Saviors gaining strength and supplies every day, they don’t have the luxury of the moral high ground. If everyone you’ve ever known is walking around trying to eat your face, and you haven’t had a hot meal or a hot bath in a year or longer, you’d probably be pretty grumpy, too. Yes, things are definitely looking up. At least Rick seems to share that annoyance. The First Couple of Alexandria is on a schedule of daily scavenging and nightly trysts, which leads them to a high school packed with non-perishable food and guns. She continues to be one of the show’s strongest characters as both a fighter and a voice of reason to the Grimes boys. The fact that Rosita and Sasha are putting themselves directly in the line of fire could mean bad things for them. Sure, Rick’s “the leader”-but that position feels more arbitrary than anything else”. At the carnival they didn’t want to do it, but they needed the guns. They split up, each taking up position behind more sturdy ride gates: Michonne with a giant slide, and Rick with the Ferris wheel.

This was a good character development episode for Rick and Michonne, but come on.

She recruits Sasha to go on what is likely a suicide mission with one of the newly found guns, and unlike Rick and Michonne, neither of these ladies is thinking about the consequences beyond their own deaths. If Rick was ever took out from the show everything might fall down, and on the latest episodes the main character has been facing unsafe situations. Shocked, she drops her katana.

If Michonne’s not willing to live without her family, that means she’s willing to die to preserve them.

Rick and Michonne have great trust and respect for each other. Some had posted their thoughts regarding possible wedding bells in the near future for Rick and Michonne. Rick even explains it to her in the van on the way back to Alexandria. Rick tells Michonne that he’s been having trouble sleeping lately due to their recent losses. This is a woman who has absolutely nothing to lose and she shows it. Rick promises that they are going to fight the Saviors, but warns that they are going to lose people, maybe a lot, and they might lose each other – but it will be worth it.

Jadis annoyed me more in her brief appearance in this episode than when we met her last time. Oh, remember we’re not friends?

BEST ZOMBIE MOMENT: There’s plenty to choose from in this episode, but I have to go with Rick’s messy removal of the zombie who is stuck through the windshield of a vehicle. Alas, Jadis is not satisfied. She just freezes, and when it looks like Michonne is done too, Rick emerges and saves her.

And then the bombshell comes: Rick has changed his tune a lot from Episode 4.

Quiz: Which TV Vigilante Are You? .

It was nice to be reminded of where Rosita is coming from with her anger… This week, there’s another conversation about morality between the vengeful Rosita and Father Gabriel, which is so utterly generic that the episode would have been better served airing a title card that said, “INSERT PHILOSOPHICAL DEBATE HERE”.
