The LeBron James-to-Philadelphia 76ers speculation reached peak hysteria with a recent report that the Cleveland Cavaliers star checked out Philly-area private schools during the NBA All-Star break.
And it wasn’t even close. Incidentally, one of the most frequent topics is Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James, who was recently wooed by another Eastern Conference team.
Earlier this week, ESPN reported that three billboards were spotted along I-480 in Cleveland last Monday, which are apparently addressed to the Cavs forward.
Simply put, this was a team win.
The 76ers, who had lost 11 straight games to the Cavs, were fueled by 22 points from shooting guard JJ Redick, who connected on seven of his 11 shots from the floor, including four three-pointers.
The 76ers led 82-71 after an interior hoop by Ersan Ilyasova with 9:07 to play before LeBron James had two hoops and teammates Kyle Korver and Rodney Hood each buried a three-pointer in a 14-3 burst that produced an 85-all tie.
Tempers flared in the closing seconds when Saric dunked and Cleveland’s Jordan Clarkson threw the ball off his back.
LeBron James is not from this planet, and you can never ever tell me otherwise, and sure it’s something you have heard countless times, but the level of play he is producing in his 15th season is something otherwordly.
Though the young teams of the National Basketball Association show promise, the true frontrunner for James’ talents resides in Texas; Houston, Texas to be exact.
Fittingly, James set the bar on the same night he closed out February by averaging a triple-double for a calendar month for the first time in his career. James moved into a club by himself Tuesday when he became the first player with 30,000 points, 8,000 rebounds and 8,000 assists. “That’s when I know I’m doing something very good, when my wife says something about what I did on the court”.
With representatives from many teams attending the event in Boston, it appears that there was one common theme: nobody wants the Sixers to open their playoff schedule.
“If we would have won those two games, I think we would have had a chance to be third or fourth in the conference”, said Joel Embiid, according to philly.com.
The game was tight throughout with nine ties and 25 lead changes. They closed the game alongside James.
