“Rogue One” director Gareth Edwards has a cameo in the film

There’s a new droid in town in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Diego’s addition to the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story line-up was finally announced in May, 2015, just before he joined co-stars Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Forest Whitaker, and Ben Mendelsohn on set that summer. The projection means that Disney could beat Universal’s box office sales this year, with “Rogue One” pulling the studio to the top.

In the year since the Star Wars Battlefront release, EA DICE has released a number of free updates bringing bug fixes and new features to the popular game. Revell has done the same with Rogue One, releasing model kids of the Imperial Star Destroyer, the AT-ACT, an armored cargo transport, and the U-Wing fighter, an earlier version of Luke Skywalker’s starship.

He previously admitted: “They wanted to do a retro movie“.

Gareth said: ‘He really liked the movie. Being with Lucas and conversing on the film was a “real privilege” since “his opinion means the world to me”. The creator’s opinion is added to a growing positive buzz around the film, which opens December 16.

Practical effects are coming back in a big way, and we have Star Wars to thank for that.
