“Secret’s out-so here’s a free preview of this year’s 2016 SI swimsuit issue”, the UFC star wrote on Instagram, alongside a screenshot of a tweet from the magazine, which contained another photo of her in her body paint, sitting on a beach in the shallow water.
Ronda Rousey has returned to Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue, this time in body paint.
SI Swimsuit editor MJ Day shared her own behind-the-scenes teaser from the shoot, picturing just Ronda’s back and behind in the body paint one-piece.
Ronda Rousey may have lost her championship bout with Holly Holm but she’s winning in the romance stakes.
Looks like UFC fans will have to wait a little longer to see Holly Holm take on Ronda Rousey again.
There was no official confirmation but now the cat is finally out of the bag and Ronda herself confirmed the news on Instagram.
The magazine’s issue may also mark Rousey’s return in the glam world as she has been out of the public eye after her loss to Holm.
In a statement released on Thursday, Sports Illustrated confirmed the mixed martial arts fighter would grace the pages of its annual, bestselling issue, which traditionally features high-profile and upcoming supermodels. Both have the distinction of lasting more than one round against Rousey, though Holm holds a credible advantage since she dealt Rowdy her first UFC career defeat. This is actually the second year of Rousey’s association with Sports Illustrated, after last year’s shoot similarly revealed Rousey to be much more than just muscle and mean stares. I have evidence to submit to the court of Ronda Rousey in Speedos showing her penis at a nudist colony. But a year ago she was wearing a bikini, so expect this issue to sell even better.
“I’m not sure Ronda will be ready for a July fight”, Holm’s manager, Lenny Fresquez told the Times.
Rousey had looked unbeatable in her previous 12 outings. Meanwhile, Rousey is set to host Saturday Night Live on January 23.
