Royal Rumble: Can Roman Reigns Win Against 29 Other Superstars?

The Phenom hasn’t been in a rumble match since 2010 and it would be a novel booking decision for the Deadman to be included in the Royal Rumble match.

WWE’s “Royal Rumble” pay-per-view event is a week away and will take place at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. Roman Reigns could keep the WWE World Heavyweight championship, but enter an altercation with Brock Lesnar or Triple H by the end of the match.

Looking at the current WWE roster is more like looking at a baseball disabled list. Their shared history as former Shield teammates and Rollins’ betrayal of Reigns and Ambrose set up Roman’s title win over Seth as the ultimate moment of babyface triumph and heel comeuppance in recent memory. While the times are different and there is only one promotion to deal with, Charlotte must prove she can stand on her own two feet at some point. However, WWE could certainly chose to make Triple H vs. Reigns a match at Fastlane in February, freeing up Triple H to face The Rock in April. How the creative team uses this angle at the Royal Rumble and at Fastlane will help define both women’s careers this coming year. But his constant interference in promos and matches is getting old.

We shall see if it becomes an issue at the Royal Rumble, at Fastlane or explodes at WrestleMania. I’m not angling for a Mick Foley-esque multiple personality storyline though. “Other than that I think I’ve wrestled everybody”. For years, Samoa Joe in a WWE ring was exclusively the domain of fantasy bookers, but now, it’s so close that it would be a bad shame if we never saw it.

Whilst the phenomenal one, has not been announced for a match, likely due to him wanting to protect himself ahead of his imminent WWE run, but he will be taking photo’s and signing autographs for the fans, as they get the opportunity to bid him farewell. The Social Outcasts, WWE’s newest alliance, will be back.

Prior to his injury, it seemed that Sami Zayn’s inclusion on WWE’s main roster was just around the corner, especially after a stunning United States Championship match against John Cena on Raw. Outside of maybe Finn Balor or Bayley, Zayn has more name recognition and fan goodwill built up than anyone else in NXT, and unlike those two competitors, he’s already a name that Raw-only viewers are familiar with.
