Ganguly suffered head injuries and was admitted to a district hospital immediately.

After meeting the injured, Ganguly was returning from the hospital along with the mother and sister of Manjhi, when a group of locals blocked the way of her convoy and started pelting stones at her vehicle.
The police posted there intervened and restrained the locals and took control of the situation, he said, adding though Rupa was “not injured”, she was taken to a local hospital, where from she was released after a check-up.
Ganguly went to visit a woman member of her party BJP, who was attacked on late Saturday.
He said the party is also planning a demonstration at Esplanade in central Kolkata on Friday when Ms Banerjee would take oath as the chief minister. “We are still traumatised”, Ganguly said. The BJP leader had gone to Kakdwip to meet the people who were victimized during the West Bengal Assembly Elections and in the aftermath of the election results.
