Ryan Fitzpatrick named AFC offensive player of the week

First of all, there’s the obvious Jets connection – Keyshawn was on the Jets when the book was released. But more importantly, the Jets have a shot at being playoff-bound for the first time in five years. But with Kendall Wright sitting out for Tennessee on offense and Darrelle Revis stepping in for NY on defense, Mariota won’t have much to work with in the passing game. It’s a three horse race with only two spots available. No other Jet has more than Sheldon Richardson’s 3.5 sacks in 2015.

“We’re playing good football, but we still have a long way to go”, Pryor said. The Chiefs face the Ravens next followed by the Browns and the Raiders.

The Jets are a good defensive team, overall. Those two wins snapped a two-game losing streak and put the Jets right back into the postseason picture. With the way they’re playing now, it definitely seems possible.

The last time Chan Gailey was in the NFL, he was sacked as the head coach of the Buffalo Bills following the 2012 season and made a decision to retire from the league. “We were focused, we were locked in and we’ve got to continue to stay locked in throughout the rest of the season”.

Both of these guys have been incredible this season and Marshall is now top ten in yards and top three in touchdowns, while Decker is top 24 in yards and top eight in touchdowns. That’s less than 1/3 of his targets caught. It was the second straight week in which Mariota scored an unusual touchdown.

Mularkey said linebacker Derrick Morgan had season-ending surgery Monday to fix his left shoulder, while running back Dexter McCluster will need season-ending surgery in the next day or two to fix a broken left wrist. In their first game under Mularkey (at New Orleans) they overcame a halftime deficit and won, something that had not happened since Mike Munchak was the one in charge. It would be robbery if Wilkerson doesn’t make a trip to Hawaii in 2016.
