Ryan Reynolds fell for Blake Lively on double date

First dates can be super nerve-wracking.

On The Tonight Show, when Jimmy Fallon pulled out the latest issue of the People magazine, the crowd went nuts when they saw Reynolds on its cover with the tag “Sexiest Dad Alive”! The titular wisecracking hero, portrayed by Ryan Reynolds, has earned praise from comic fans and moviegoers for his embodiment of the chaotic character, bringing the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the realms of adult comedy. Reynolds recalls. “For about a year Green Lantern had come and gone, we were both single”.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were the stars of the red carpet at this year’s amfAR Gala.

So when his wife, Blake Lively, gave birth to their daughter James, whom Reynolds adoringly calls “Shrimpie”, in December 2014, he was overjoyed.

The Deadpool star recently sat down to chat with People and Entertainment Weekly editorial director Jess Cagle about how everything began between the duo.

On getting a male love interest, he said: ‘I certainly wouldn’t be the guy standing in the way of that. Hopefully, the other participants of the double date have since found their own fireworks, together or separately. “Focus, a little bit of luck and perseverance because it can take a long time”.

Deadpool will hit theaters everywhere this weekend and experts predict that it can make upwards of $65 million for the four-day holiday weekend!
