Rory McIlroy claimed the U.S. winning back the Ryder Cup was “good for golf” – but warned wounded Europe will be desperate to win back the trophy in 2018. Danny Willett says his wife and parents were on the end of some verbals from some of the USA crowd at the Ryder Cup.
“It is the first time with this many rookies since 2010 (when they won by a point at Celtic Manor) and you will see a lot of these rookies come back and play again next time”.
Following Europe’s victory by 16-1/2 points to 11-1/2 at Gleaneagles in Scotland, the PGA of America established a task force, including eight current and former players, to identify how the US could compete more successfully. The family delayed until Tuesday, they didn’t want to get in the way of the Ryder Cup.
