Samsung have opened up pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
Thanks to its tie-in with Oculus, Samsung’s Gear VR has had the most content and arguably the best image quality of any mobile virtual reality headset since it launched. At least on paper, for sure. A successor to the company’s ill-fated Galaxy Note 7, the Note 8 will go on sale beginning September 15. In India, you can head over to Amazon.in to register for Galaxy Note 8 availability notifications. Moreover, it is also predicted to have an infinite display. The phablet flaunts a 6.3-inch QHD+ display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio, and no bezels on the side.
The Galaxy Note 8 is packed with power and features Samsung’s first stab at Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The handset will have 64GB of storage but this can be expanded with a microSD card. It is the first Samsung smartphone to sport dual camera setup and also the world’s first smartphone to come with dual OIS.
One of the most interesting facts about the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 camera is the fact that both the cameras on the back offer Optical Image Stabilization. We are pretty anxious to see what Samsung has to offer inside the box for its latest flagship. For selfie lovers, there is an 8MP sensor at the front with aperture f/1.7. The flagship phablet comes with a 3,300mAh non-removable cell. On connectivity part, the phone comes with USB Type- C port for charging and supports wireless charging as well. It’s also the successor to the exploding Galaxy Note7 from previous year, which got discontinued after two recalls.
The Galaxy Note 8 has a dedicated button for Samsung’s virtual voice assistant Bixby. The S pen boasts the same IP68 water and dust resistance and is held at the bottom of the device.
While the design and display may not be unique, what’s interesting about the Note 8 are the new rear cameras. Time for some meetings by the pool, huh? It gets a new improved S Pen, with some highlights such as Live Messages ability for creating shareable animations. You might still be hearing that you’ll have to hand in your Note 7 smartphone before getting on a flight in the US. It will be available in Midnight Black and Orchid Gray at most wireless carriers and unlocked via Samsung.
