Larson will be hoping to build on her awards season success so far which has seen her nominated for a SAG Award and a BAFTA Award as well as winning a Golden Globe Award.
Among the Supporting Actress nominees are Broadway alum Jennifer Jason Leigh; the Hateful Eight player made her Broadway debut as Sally Bowles and most recently appeared in The House of Blue Leaves in 2011.

Lenny Abrahamson was a surprise nomination for Best Director for Room, which was also nominated for Best Picture, while author Emma Donoghue was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay for the film.
The 21-year-old, who was nominated by the Academy for her performance in Brooklyn, admitted she was unprepared for the announcement as she was in bed with jet lag with her ear plugs in. But an additional shoutout should go to Irishwoman Catherine Biggs, who did Tom Hardy’s hair and makeup in Mad Max: Fury Road, which is nominated in that category.
“It was thrilling. We were screaming like idiots in the pitch black with the smell of waffles in the room“, McKay said. No longer are there years in Irish cinema where there might be one or two you’d bother to go to.
“I was away working at the time when I was nominated when I was younger so just to be able to embrace it now and because I’ve been part of the Brooklyn experience from the very beginning and I’m here with it now it’s nearly like watching a kid growing up, walking for the first time and going to school, it very much feels like we’ve all just been on this adventure from day one together”.
