HBO has released a new Game of Thrones Season 7 trailer.
It shows all three contenders for the Iron Throne walking alone down empty corridors before sitting on their personal thrones.
The tune is a track entitled “Sit Down” by the English rock band, James. They have a theme, for sure.
But, most surprisingly, their mutual enemy also gets a look in as the trailer ends with a close up of the Night King’s blue eye. Meanwhile Jon remains in Winterfell, the northern most Castle where the White Walkers will encounter their first bit of opposition sans “The Wall” that kept them out of Westeros.
Game of Thrones fans got the best glimpse yet into the penultimate season of the epic fantasy series with a teaser trailer that went online Thursday. Game of Thrones has reached its endgame, and while expectations are high, I trust that David Benioff and D.B. The first teaser of the new season that was released a few weeks back, only showed the sigils of the various houses. The upcoming season will be shorter than the usual ten-episode seasons of the past, containing just seven episodes. We’ll have to wait and see. Cersei Lannister makes an appearance as well as she takes her place upon the Iron Throne.
In Kings Landing, Cersei (accompanied by the sung words “touched by madness”) paces through the familiar halls of the Red Keep. That should give you plenty of time to refresh you memory on what happened last season or if you’re curious about the show, you have the opportunity to binge watch to heart’s content. Cersei breathes out and you can tell how cold it is. According to myth, that’s when the White Walkers first swept south, and a bad war (“The War for the Dawn”) ensued.
