We need a president that understands what it takes.
Rubio said he would bring back the old Patriot Act program, which featured the bulk collection of telephone metadata by the National Security Agency.
“I have missed votes this year”, Rubio acknowledged Tuesday morning, at a town hall event in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
“We’ve seen Rubio has those cute new boots, and I don’t want to be outdone”, Paul, who stands at 5 feet, 8 inches, said in a video posted to Twitter, showing him picking out a pair of boots. Although Obama has yet to announce the executive actions, Rubio said Obama’s announcement will affect law-abiding citizens instead of criminals or terrorists. So, I greatly admire the Tim Scotts of the world and, frankly, Ronald Reagan and Marco Rubio who can communicate our message in an aspirational, hopeful way.
“First of all, I think (Rubio is) the most electable”, said former Knoxville mayor and US ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe.
Critics are saying the Florida Senator Marco Rubio is sounding desperate with his latest jabs at fellow GOP candidates for president.
Tensions between the Cruz and Rubio campaigns have heated up in the past few weeks, as they’ve clashed over their respective positions on immigration.
Gonzales, who helped introduce Rubio at the rally, told me he’s backing the Floridian because “too many of our elected officials govern to a tweet or they campaign to a Facebook meme”.

When I had the great honor of serving in this body, of being sworn into the Senate, when I was sworn in standing on the steps just in front of us, I wore my argument boots.
“Cruz is the most consistent of the candidates, and has taken a strong stance against Hillary Clinton“, said Julia Hista, the club’s issues director and a third-year political science student.
The flare up comes as Cruz is rising in the polls and is poised to finish first in Iowa, which holds the first-in-the-nation caucuses on February 1.
Cruz made headlines when, during a filibuster, he read the Dr. Seuss classic Green Eggs and Ham on the Senate floor.
Cruz says he hopes the confrontation will not turn violent.
“This president needs to stop focusing on what he’s constitutionally forbidden to do, which is interfering with our Second Amendment rights, and he needs to start focusing on what he’s constitutionally required to do, which is protecting our people as Commander in Chief”, Rubio said.
Gigi Gordon, a third-year English major student, said she thinks it is impossible for all members to agree on one candidate. “But we don’t have a constitutional right to use force and violence and to threaten force and violence on others”, Cruz told reporters in Iowa.
