The Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart starring film has got excellent reviews across the board for its daring move away from the traditional super hero movie and has benefited in the process.

The U.S. total makes “Logan” one of the top R-rated openings of all time and the biggest box office opening of the year in America so far. The defenders of mutant kind, the X-Men, are long gone, and the only remains of them are an old and struggling Charles Xavier and a tired Logan. “Logan” was mostly about Wolverine, but it built X-23 up for future movies. While movies are often expected to answer every question, in Logan, Mangold is refusing to do this because the reality is that he wants there to be some mystery. He has to protect the girl from the team of mercenaries chasing them. Hugh Jackman is playing the lead role of Wolverine in the film and the film is considered as the last X-Men film of Jackman. It was important that this element that fans loved about the character was captured on screen. The film, is the tenth installment in the X-Men film series, as well as the third and final Wolverine film following the 2009 X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the 2013 The Wolverine.
