Snow, ice not expected to be a factor for NFC title game

January 24 20:59 2016

Championship weekend concludes with the Carolina Panthers (15-1) hosting the Arizona Cardinals (14-3) in the NFC Championship. Peyton Manning threw two touchdowns to Owen Daniels, but otherwise the 40-year-old quarterback played game manager with his defense putting on an inspired performance. Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers are ready for the Super Bowl, too.

When they match up Sunday, with a berth in Super Bowl 50 at stake, it could be the most entertaining and significant battle of the NFC championship game. “I’m pretty sure (the Panthers) are saying the same thing, that they are the better team“.

By the fourth quarter, Palmer’s turnovers grew comical. Cam Newton completed 4 of 5 passes for 35 yards to get the Panthers into field goal range.

While those two perennial Pro Bowlers are certain to bounce back next season, it’s fair to wonder how Palmer’s postseason collapse will affect his confidence going forward. In 2009, the Cardinals defeated the Panthers, while Carolina defeated Arizona past year. Cam Newton rolled out to his right and pitched the ball to Ginn, who raced around left end, then switched fields and outran defenders to the end zone. Those two men are talented, but this Arizona defense ranked sixth against the run during the regular season and that spells trouble for the Panthers. It’s a championship game, and there will be more excitement, but from a security aspect and fan services aspect, they should expect the same as usual.

But that was the lone blemish for Newton, who now won’t be able to accept the MVP trophy, given that the NFL’s Honors awards program is the night before the Super Bowl.

The Panthers are expected to rely heavily on the eight-year National Football League veteran tonight against the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC championship game, particularly if wintry weather conditions persist in the Charlotte area. “We’ll find out Sunday”.

The Carolina Panthers are at it again.

Newton has taken the Panthers to three straight NFC South titles, something never previously achieved. It’s the first time in a decade that the Panthers make it into football’s final four, hosting the game this time, playing with the swagger of champions, which is usually part of their incredible starts before letting the game slowly fall back to the mean, which got a little bit unsafe in their win against the Seahawks last week.

Kickoff for Sunday’s Panthers-Cardinals game is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. ET on Sunday, Jan. 24.

Watch for: Bucannon’s mobility will play a big role in whether the Cardinals can get to Newton.
