Snow totals of 5 to 9 inches, locally more, combined with a crust of sleet and ice will make travel hard.
Crews were responding to calls about problem areas, but, Wilson said they couldn’t do much about freezing rain, except put down salt. Drivers are cautioned on the roadways and pedestrians are encouraged to watch for ice on sidewalks.
