Sources say Trump’s Central Intelligence Agency visit made relations with intel community worse

Perhaps it was because of the historical the CIA where, after boasting about his self-deification, intelligence, self-importance, fame and historically big inauguration turnout, he complained about the media. Donald Trump even attempted to blame the “dishonest” media for the dissension between himself and the intelligence agency, CNN reported.

“They sort of made it sound like I had a feud with intelligence community“. When Trump began drifting into political topics, the main crowd broke into cheers and applause at points.

In fact, Mr. Brennan also made a prescient statement that, although lost on the likes of any Trump, punctuates exactly what is wrong with the spoiled child living in the White House.

“The CIA leadership was in the first couple rows and I understood that they stood politely, but rather impassively, throughout that”.

“You’re going to get so much backing, you’re going to say, please don’t give us so much backing”.

While Trump supporters have used his Saturday visit to the Central Intelligence Agency as proof that everyone who matters loves the new President, in reality his visit did more damage than good.

He pointed out that no official crowd estimates were given, yet insisted, improbably, that it was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration. The mistake was quickly corrected in a followup tweet, in which the reporter that a Secret Service agent had been standing in front of it, but that didn’t deter Spicer from labeling the reporter – and, by extension, the whole profession of journalism – as “irresponsible and reckless”. But the tension between the White House and the intelligence community is not novel to Trump’s nascent administration, as The Christian Science Monitor’s Peter Grier wrote last week.

It was Trump’s ebullient self-promotion that most troubled this former official and others I contacted. The 14-page opinion, written by Daniel Koffsky, a career attorney in the Office of Legal Counsel with decades of experience, concluded that the law grants the president broad hiring authority.

“CIA’s relationship with the president has been essential to our nation’s strength and security”, acting director Meroe Park said prior to introducing Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.

In mocking CIA reports on Russian Federation having interfered with the USA presidential election, he cited the agency’s bungling on Iraq.

But, I don’t know, maybe 10 people, at most.
