Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon target Galaxy S7 launch

February 28 23:00 2016

For those Samsung fans that no amount of money is small to get their favorite smartphone, there’s a new version of Galaxy S7 that will surely stand out from the standard model soon to be available on the market.

The convergence began two years ago when iPhones got larger, mimicking Samsung’s once-innovative, plus-sized “phablets”.

The Galaxy S7 Edge has a 12-megapixel camera, compared to last year’s 16-megapixel shooter. Only the latest iPhones have special features you activate by pressing harder on an icon or link, while Samsung is among the biggest boosters of virtual reality. The Samsung device has a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED screen while the LG phone is a bit bigger with its 5.3-inch IPS LCD display.

And the back’s curved edge design looks almost identical to the Galaxy Note 5’s back. The current IP68 rating allows the Samsung Galaxy S7 to stay submerged in 1.5 meters of water for up to 30mins.

The S7 Edge has the same solid iPhone-like build as the S6 Edge, but the microSD card slot, thankfully, is back.

Samsung’s new devices can be pre-ordered with the phones landing in hands on March 11th.

There’s not a huge difference between the screens on these two phones. You get the same vibrant Samsung colour profile with no visible pixel dots and jagged lines.

We remind you that Samsung had an awesome 2015 year with its Galaxy S6 device. Several carriers, Telus and T-Mobile, confirmed release dates for their Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge units. Yes, the Galaxy S7 and LG G5 won’t support Android adoptable storage.

The first time you try to use a microSD card as adopted storage, your phone would also reformat the card, erasing any data you may have.

The Samsung Galaxy S7, as well the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, are already listed on the United States, the U.K., and European Samsung sites, though there no prices for them yet.

It’s all about the display and the cameraThe iPhone 6s Plus has a decent display, but it’s hardly class leading these days. Instead of extra pixels you probably don’t need, Samsung is advertising much better low-light photography capabilities.

These smart-looking LED covers from Samsung contain LEDs which show up to display the time, as well as show important notifications such as alarms and phone calls. They won’t work with each other’s phones or any other Android phone.

Advance orders for the S7 phones started this week.
