Star Wars star Carrie Fisher suffers massive heart attack on worldwide flight

An EMT on the United Airlines plane reportedly performed CPR on Fisher, who was sitting in first class. Don’t take Princess Leia from us too.

“They’re working on her right now, we’re going to have her seated in about two minutes here and we should hopefully be on the deck in about five”.

A pilot reported to air-traffic control that passengers who are nurses were taking care of the passenger. She has been taken to UCLA Medical Center and is on a ventilator. She is now listed in critical condition.

Todd Fisher told the press that Carrie was receiving “excellent care” but he did not state her condition. “I encourage everyone to pray for her”, he told ABC7’s Eyewitness News shortly after she was admitted. She has publicly acknowledged mental health issues including bipolar disorder that she had successfully treated with electroshock therapy.

According to TMZ, The Star Wars legend was traveling from London to LA when she is said to have gone into cardiac arrest.

She tweeted a photograph Monday from London and wrote that she was filming “Catastrophe“, a British TV sitcom. Reporter: Fisher, the daughter of Debbie Reynolds and Eddie fisher.

Fisher recently had another book published. She has written four novels and three memoirs. Suffered a massive heart attack on the way from London to L.A.X. She has acted in other films as well including The Blues Brothers and When Harry Met Sally.

Peter Mayhew, who played Chewbacca in the trilogy, sent his thoughts and prayers.

A CGI version of her acting in the 1977 film was featured in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), which released this month to impressive box office results.

Actor William Shatner of “Star Trek” fame tweeted out a picture of himself hugging Fisher in front of a Christmas tree.
