Survivors of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, have emerged as the new faces of the gun-control movement and marched on the state capital of Tallahassee on Wednesday to call for a ban on assault-style weapons.
“After the deadly shooting in Las Vegas, I directed the attorney general to clarify whether certain bump stock devices like the one used in Las Vegas are illegal under current law”, Trump stated, referring to Jeff Sessions. It was a near-death experience. But it was him.

“We need to be able to defeat any threat that comes into campus”, Israel said.
“I am angry”, said Douglas freshman Haleigh Gross. He will meet with the nation’s governors at the White House next week at which time school safety will be the top priority, said White House spokesman Raj Shah.
Entire communities are damaged, from students who escaped to those attending schools in the area, to parents, friends, neighbors, clergy. Rubio did not say he would. The school also works to ensure there is only one way to get into the building during the school day to keep tabs on who is coming and going.
“No special interest group, no political agenda is more critical than timely passage of legislation to effectively address the gun violence issues that are rampant in our country”, said the group.
Students at numerous protests called for stronger gun control and said they’re taking action to protect schools because Congress hasn’t. I guess that’s what everyone says. “I applaud their initiative”, she told the Gazette.
She added: “We’ve had enough of thoughts and prayers. She totally deflected the question, in my opinion, and never answered it”.
Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval, chairman of the National Governors Association, applauded Trump earlier this week for directing the Justice Department to craft regulations that would ban “bump stocks”, devices that increase the rate of fire of semi-automatics to that of almost fully automatic weapons.
“Our staff just needs a lot of reassurances”, he said.

Petrina Tuttle Herring, a bureau chief over grants for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, made the request Tuesday in a letter to the U.S. Department of Justice.
Students converged on Florida’s Capitol to take their concerns about gun control to state lawmakers Wednesday.
“I feel powerful”, Bernstein said.
“We are ready. If Congress isn’t going to fight for common sense gun remedies, then let us take those spots”, Herrmann said. “It hits close to home because it’s happening to us”.
