Syrian Christians in Pennsylvania voice their support for Trump’s travel ban

A United States judge in Seattle has issued a temporary nationwide block on President Donald Trump’s ban on citizens from seven Muslim majority countries.

The order applies to both valid visa and green card holders. Affected travelers were either detained or turned away.

I read what counter-terrorism experts, analysts, diplomats and military think tankers – people who have studied and fought against Islamic extremism for decades – had written. “Your children can not go out for play and you live in your apartment all the time with the doors locked from outside most of the time”. If confirmed by the Senate, the 49-year-old Gorsuch will fill the Supreme Court seat left vacant by last year’s death of Antonin Scalia. I quickly called up my mom to ask how my aunt and cousins were doing. The only country that takes advantage of the USA is Israel, and by the look of it, it will end up with even greater benefits from Trump.

Collaborating with other groups, BPCA is accepting donations to raise money to help pay the family’s fines so that they do not have to go the detention center. For them to get here and all of a sudden to be told – and they’re legal and have visas – and all of a sudden you tell them, “You can’t come in”. It is hard, if not irrational to understand how restricting their entry is a stand against terrorism and not merely an assault principally based on nationality and religion, when those denied were young children, elderly grandparents, PhD students, and countless others.

That afternoon, I saw a long Facebook post from another cousin who is a PhD student in Ohio.

“Obviously, we’re aware of it”. As one respondent noted: “I love America”. My aunt was excited to go see her daughter and meet her new son-in-law. These figures came out during a hearing in a lawsuit that was filed by attorneys for two Yemeni brothers, Tareq and Ammar Aqel Mohammed Aziz, who were forced to give up their immigration visas at Dulles International Airport and were put on a return flight to Ethiopia.

Could the new administration – in its whirlwind of executive orders, initiatives and appointments – have done a better job implementing the order?

The order was met with quick legal challenges but the biggest blow came yesterday when a United States federal judge put in on hold nationwide.

A big hope when Donald Trump was campaigning to be president was that, if he somehow made it to the White House, wise advisers would control him, and they recently more or less did, but failed to be wise. They know if certain people are allowed in it’s death & destruction!

But some have hit out, and one user said: “None of the “countries” are responsible for any terrorist attacks”. Islam is a religion of peace: a religion dedicated to respect and kindness towards one another.

Despite America’s devastating war in Iraq, its anti-Palestinian bias and its other failed policies across the region, what continued to hold hope for Arabs was that some day America would be true to its stated values. Please, let’s try not to destroy who we are.
