One person was killed and seven were injured when a gunman opened fire inside a crowded Florida strip club early on Saturday, police said.
Tampa police homicide detectives and representatives from the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office and Hillsborough County Medical Examiner’s Office are on the scene.

The incident occurred Club Rayne in north Tampa, an area renowned for its number of lap-dancing bars, shortly after 2am local time.
No information was immediately available on the condition of the victims, and officers are at the scene. The video ends abruptly. They have been identified as Restaycia Carnegie, 20; Sheila McFadden, 17; Lancinet Stephens, 20; Equanzick Howell, 28; Jose Humphrey, 32; Christopher Houston, 20; and Mekyala Mann, 24. Another person had already been rushed to hospital. It’s unclear when the club might reopen.
The owner of the club, Roberto Mederos, declined to comment.
