Texas athletic director Mike Perrin declined to speak with reporters after the game, looking away when he approached them.
The Texas Longhorns have suffered the worst loss of the Charlie Strong era, losing 24-21 to Kansas in overtime.
While Perrin didn’t say Strong will be fired, a high-ranking university source said the coach “knows what is coming”, per Davis and Bohls.

That leaves Strong with an uncertain future Monday at his weekly news conference, despite intense speculation that he’ll be dismissed.

“When you’re playing those schools that maybe they went to camp at or maybe got recruited or didn’t get recruited by, there is probably some emotion”.
Texas was shaky throughout the game, especially when Buechele left for a short period in the first half with an injury, in what might go down as the biggest indictment of Strong’s tenure.
Over the weekend, a report had surfaced that Longhorns boosters were pressuring the program to give Strong the pink slip and hire Herman.
The loss to West Virginia was hardly the only close call for the Longhorns, who lost by a touchdown to California, six points to Oklahoma and a field goal to Kansas State.
Nothing could be more damaging than a loss to the Jayhawks, though.
The Longhorns are about to embark on what is poised to be an awkward and unusual game week as they prepare for a season-finale on Friday at home against TCU.
Wyman kicked a 36-yard field goal late in regulation to tie the game and force overtime, then Texas’ Shane Buechele threw an interception on the opening possession of overtime.
Perhaps the unsung hero of the contest was wide receiver Steven Sims Jr., who wrestled away an interception in the end zone after an errant pass would have sealed the game for Texas.
