The Bachelor Ladies Fed Up with Competing for Nick Viall

February 07 10:24 2017

She tells Nick he’s being manipulated and lied to by Corinne; he tells Taylor he appreciates her sincerity. One of which includes her attempts to come up with memorable sound bites.

There’s a full moon, which indicates that something weird will happen at tonight’s rose ceremony.

Maybe too much tequila was involved, but Rachel, Vanessa and Danielle M. were right to be sick of being put through this gauntlet of challenges to try and stand out.

The final nine are heading to St. Thomas as their reward for surviving this nightmare! The women arrive at the cocktail party (held at a mansion, but sadly, not last week’s haunted mansion) in what appears to be a combination horse-drawn carriage and city bus.

As evening fell, Kristina and Nick headed to a private dinner. Nick choses Kristina for a romantic seaplane jaunt and they fly away, leaving Jasmine teary and frustrated on the shore.

We know, it’s nearly astonishing to believe. Over a lobster dinner, Nick asks for details about her personal life, her horrifying childhood in Russian Federation (she ate lipstick to avoid starvation), and her adoption by an American couple that brought her to the land of opportunity. Seems like the ideal time to pause the story and go for a swim! Clearly it was extremely hard for her to tell her story, but Nick couldn’t be more happy that she opened up and naturally, he gave her a rose. Grab a box of Kleenex, folks. He sighs deeply and takes her outside to talk. Since a kid can only last so long without food, Kristina caved and ate the one thing she could find: a lipstick. Corrine’s constant naps, references to her nanny (for the record, Corrine is 24-years-old) and flirtatious antics leave most of the women in the house frustrated. (Ugh!) Unfortunately for Jasmine, who had complained nonstop to the other women about her lack of time with the Bachelor, Nick had had enough of the emotions when it was her turn with him. Promptly after the date, Nick tells the confessional camera, “I would be lucky if Kristina were the person I spend the rest of my life with”.

But Nick, still rattled from the night before, chose to say goodbye to both ladies instead. (Stray observation: I love how clumsily attached everyone’s mic packs are to their swimsuits.) But the festivities soon devolve into a drunk, aggressive volleyball game. A game of volleyball somehow managed to crystallize the women’s discontent, and Jasmine was incensed to be on another group date, having never had a one-on-one. She’s emotionally unraveling at the seams. It’s not clear why the two butt heads, but the “Bachelor” spoiler blogger reports that it’s one of the biggest blowups of the season. But the whole day has planted the seed of doubt in his mind. That meant that there would be another two-on-one date with Danielle L. and Whitney! Wow! He didn’t seem into either one of them, but wasn’t feeling anything with Whitney. But, you know, it’s still awkward. Everyone but partially-exposed Danielle L. and Pilates instructor Whtiney – headed for the dreaded two-on-one – share a catamaran ride to what is supposed to be a fun-in-the-sun day at the shore, but the overcast sky is only the first sign of impending doom.

Kristina says someone told her back then, “If you stay in Russian Federation, it will be black and white”. That’s a pretty grand exit if you ask me.

The third 1-on-1 date, Rachel goes with Nick to a “dive bar” in town for drinks. There is truly nothing subtle about the metaphors on this show. Nick responded by kindly escorting her to the limo. With that, Nick offered her the date rose and she accepted! Personally, I do not feel ready to move on from Alexis. He softly apologizes, but it doesn’t change the outcome.

You guys, this is BRUTAL! During the date, “The Bachelor” star will reportedly realize he and Danielle M. just don’t have the chemistry he thought they did and send her home. The sneak peek showed that all of them were in tears and were wondering if they took the wrong decision to be on the show. He seemed sincerely sorry when he told her that he wanted it to be her, but it wasn’t.

When she finally did get some alone time with Nick, it didn’t go well.
