‘The Bachelorette’ Week Three: Everything Gets Extremely Heated and Physical

June 07 23:00 2016

These guys are so nasty. So, it’s confirmed: That creepy vibe we’re getting from Chad through the screen also comes across IRL. I know what she probably looks like, I can see through her dress. He is ridiculous and needs to get his muscles under control!

I actually think Chad has two sides to him: you have the douche, and you also have the asshole.

First Date: JoJo invites Chase to “get physical”, which was a great opportunity for an Olivia Newton John themed-dance party, but was actually the world’s strangest yoga class (and that includes yoga done on horseback). And, he got a rose. Their sleigh ride leads them to a secluded hot tub nestled under a forest canopy, which makes for a toasty and sensual connection.

Then they went outside for a miniconcert by Charles Kelley, who had the good sense to chuckle as JoJo and Chase ignored him for some extra deep kissing. Is this the start of something special? Steve reports that the week after Chad’s fight with Evan, the villain will have a two-on-one date with another rival, Alex Woytkiw.

Daniel: “Well, let’s just say it. Let’s just say it”. But he really shouldn’t be threatening other guys.

Here’s to you, Chad, now go eat some sliced turkey.

“When Chad became physically aggressive, that changed everything”, Evan stated plainly and he went directly to JoJo with an ultimatum. He talked about the dangers of steroid use with symptoms that pointed directly to Chad (example: “Saying things like the girl I’m trying to date is nagging me”). But why did Evan have to poke the beast?

Let’s take a break from Chad for a moment. After the rose ceremony, 14 men leave Los Angeles and begin their worldwide journey to find love, traveling first to the lovely Laurel Highlands of Southwestern, Pennsylvania. Beforehand, Chad once again made waves in the contestant pool. Ugh, will this ever end? He even lurks in the hallway, whistling and keeping watch while waiting for JoJo to finish talking to Nick. Can these guys please pull themselves together? Derek tries to make the case to JoJo to send Chad home, which serves to have Chad make more threats to Derek. However, she wants Evan to stay and gives him the group date rose.

Of course, producers changed things up this season and not because any of the other contestants wanted to say goodbye to him. After hearing the news he said, “Is this real?”

How much longer will JoJo keep Chad around, will he punch anymore doors (or contestants), and are the rumors true that Chad-aggedon is now in Mexico filming the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise? What does this mean for Chad’s future?

Second Date: JoJo takes James Taylor to go swing dancing. By the end of the night he had broken the friend barrier, and a tear filled JoJo’s eye as he sang her a super sweet song. “He’s unlike anyone I’ve ever dated, and I really like that about him”. There is something so endearing about him. Host Chris Harrison arrives to tell the guys the cocktail party has been canceled… because they’re having a pool party instead! He gained major fiancee points by confronting Chad and telling him to be a moderate-level dictator instead of a Grade-A word we can’t see here.

Chad’s grim march back to the house was intercut with a confessional in which he called Evan’s tattling “the last straw”.
