‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 “Service” Rolls Out a Supersized Reunion

November 14 01:10 2016

Maybe it was the moment he told Daryl he could live like a king if only he joined him, and we saw that Negan’s idea of living like a king is living in a dorm room. Negan doesn’t accept that excuse though, and thinks they’re purposely holding out on him. No one is giving in if they do know.

What was that thing about art imitating life? Though the character has been one of the most annoying ones on the show in the past, he really stepped it up this week. It’s hard to imagine anyone but Jeffrey Dean Morgan bringing this psychopath to life in way that makes him so love-to-hateable. In reality, the only reason they stole the mattresses was just so they could burn them for fun. They do things for the lulz, not for any real gain.

Season 3 of The Walking Dead Fear will not start until a few months and then we wondered some time ago if The Walking Dead and fear the walking dead were linked by Nick Clark, now is Chris Manawa we will talk. It makes them grating.

There’s no question Negan’s arrival has given the show an infusion of energy, something any series – even one this popular – can use this late in its run. It doesn’t slip by Negan that Alexandria doesn’t have much food in stock.

The Walking Dead” has never been for the squeamish – gore is an inherent part of this world – but at times now risks wallowing in brutality. This just in; the Saviors are kind of dicks.

For a show that (like Game Of Thrones) practically advertises itself on the fact that any character can die at any time, it has actually been a while since the last truly surprising death. Down to the nearly laughably cheesy shot of him and his stupid baseball bat silhouetted outside the Alexandria gate. Michonne tells him they must fight back. I mean, shit, at this point we’re still trying to process all of the damage Negan has done. Beds, chairs, medicine, everything their hearts desired. There is a lot going on here, and losing their guns is just the beginning.

4. Negan Was Going to Take Maggie: “Whatever happened to that sick girl?” Negan is still not happy that Rick doesn’t greet him with a smile. But Rick doesn’t have a plan. A broken Daryl helps Negan’s men load the truck, never saying a word to Rick or anyone. Everyone, from Aaron to Michonne to Rosita to Carl, is against him in this. Tina seems to have been invented to provide motivation for Sherry and Dwight to escape, though it ended up costing them. We finally have the true identity of Judith Grimes’ biological father, and it’s not Rick. Negan, meanwhile, compares the entire excursion to sexually assaulting Rick, before driving off with their plunder. Rick was feeling that emotion the most while he prepped sleeping bags in place of mattresses, and the rest of Alexandria will begin feeling the same. Carl’s act, however inspiring, costs Alexandria its arsenal.

A gunshot goes off. Negan and Rick find Carl in a standoff with two of The Saviors.

When Negan arrived, a week early we might add, Rick and Co. thought that he and Lucille would just pick up the supplies that the town set aside and be on their merry and maniacal way. In The Walking Dead comics, Judith had quite a different outcome than the one we see here, so it makes for an interesting new perspective as to why Rick is now deferring to Saviors.

Michonne wants answers from Rick, he didn’t have to hand over the gun that she had since it wasn’t listed. She tells him she will try.

But not everyone views the situation as hopelessly as Rick does.

While Negan makes very bad insinuations about what he’d like to do to the freshly widowed Maggie (ugh), Gabriel pretends that she’s dead, a clever way to account for her absence and douse Negan’s suspicions. Daryl looked pretty beat up, but he still hasn’t kneeled.

RICK. WAKE. UP
