According tooddsmakers at BetDSI, Oklahoma is the favorite at home tonight, as the Sooners are getting odds of -7.5 points against Baylor. “It was kind of a blur, really”, Sooners coach Lon Kruger told reporters of Texas’ 25-5, game-ending run. Defensively, Baylor yields 69.4 points against the opposing teams.

For the majority of the regular season, the Sooners – led by superstar guard Buddy Hield – were one of the most prolific scoring teams in the country. Baylor is 21-8 overall, 10-6 in the Big 12, 6-4 on the road and 9-13-1 against the spread.

Reserves Dinjiyl Walker, Dante Buford added 12 points off the bench. Ryan Spangler added 15 points and 13 rebounds. Wake Forest closed to 70-65 on Thomas’ free throw with 1:40 left before Chase Jeter hit a foul shot with 1:26 to go to put Duke back up by six.

The Sooners forced 10 Baylor turnovers in the first 13 minutes of the game.

Little is second on the team with 11.1 points per game, leading the Sooners with 44 made 3-pointers this year.

The Sooners upped their season record to 23-6 and 11-6 in conference play. Now the two players jerseys share the same honored space in Oklahoma basketball culture. Baylor has already picked up wins at Iowa State, Texas and Texas Tech in Top 50 RPI wins, picking up another one here would certainly help the resume.

The emotion of “Senior Night” didn’t affect OU early.

NOTES: With his free throws in the final seconds, Buddy Hield passed Darryl “Choo” Kennedy for fourth place in school history in scoring and Nick Collison for fifth place in Big 12 history…. Buddy Hield scored 33 points to lead Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Sooners are 22-6 this season and they have lost three of their last five games.

“What had gotten us the lead was transition”, Baylor coach Scott Drew said. Baylor outscored the Sooners 35-18. “Obviously didn’t finish it at all like we need to and wanted to, but a lot of good plays in the first 25-30 minutes and we’ve got to keep doing that”. But the Sooners responded with an 8-0 run and led the rest of the game.

OU was sloppy with the ball, committing 21 turnovers, but continued a string of better shooting, making 45.3 percent (24 of 53) from the field, 8 of 17 from 3-point land and 14 of 17 from the free-throw line.
