Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and his top officials began encouraging House Republicans to tackle health care reform once again after Trump failed to rally Republicans around the Obamacare replacement bill he supported.
During his presidential campaign, Mr Trump criticised China for unfair trade practices, accusing it of draining millions of jobs from the United States through a huge imbalance.

Flynn has offered to testify to Congree about ongoing Russian investigations.
Flynn’s new disclosure also details a $10,000 payment for a speech in NY last October paid by Ibrahim Kurtulus, a NY financial adviser who is also listed as an advisory board member for the Turkish American National Steering Committee.
Now Flynn’s lawyer is saying that he has a story to tell, and he very much wants to tell it should circumstances permit. There’s one catch, though: Flynn wants to be sure he can trade his insider knowledge for immunity from prosecution.
The “GREAT Revival” in US manufacturing began Friday, according to President Trump.
Trump had earlier tweeted that Flynn “should ask for immunity because the investigations were a ‘witch hunt'”.
As part of the orders, Trump says that the United States will “review”.
SHAPIRO: Is this insane, or is it insane like a fox?
The White House’s apparent involvement in helping Nunes access the information has overshadowed what Trump officials contend are real concerns about how much information about Americans is disseminated in intelligence reports.
WELNA: It’s hard telling.
“If he really had some very specific information about Trump campaign collusion with the Russians. there’s no way a lawyer would try to sell that information for immunity by way of release of a statement“, law professor Ronald Wright told Vox.
“Under my administration the theft of American prosperity will end”, he said. He spoke very positively about what he was going to sign. “We also have no intention of carrying out competitive currency devaluation to stimulate exports”.
Footage shows him briefly speaking to Pence, before staring back into the room full of reporters and White House officials and then continuing to walk away.
SHAPIRO: Obviously, the White House is having trouble moving past this story.
But Flynn is not the only Trump associate to have had contacts with Russian Federation during the campaign.
The deficit has fluctuated year-by-year for decades but was relatively stable under the presidency of Barack Obama, falling from $708.7 billion in 2008 to $383.8 billion in 2009 and remaining in a range between $461.9 and $548.6 billion for the next seven years.
However, Kelner said, “out of respect” for the committees, he and Flynn would not comment on the details of the discussions – and he accused the media of being “awash with unfounded allegations, outrageous claims of treason, and vicious innuendo”.
The White House contends that Nunes’ information – which has not been made public – validates Trump’s explosive claim that his predecessor wiretapped his NY skyscraper. Here’s – it’s not terribly clear exactly where this is going, but here’s Sean Spicer this afternoon.
Flynn resigned three weeks later, ostensibly because he had lied to Vice President Mike Pence about his talks with Kislyak, and Pence had gone on to repeat the mischaracterization publicly in a television interview. “It’s been very bad what’s been happening to our country, in terms of our companies and in terms of our jobs”. That trio-Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort, policy adviser Carter Page and on-again, off-again adviser Roger Stone-have all signaled their willingness to testify before the Senate and House.
‘They’re cheaters!’ Trump said of importers his administration will target.
Flynn served briefly in the Obama administration before being forced out. And I’m here to represent you and your family, ‘ Trump proclaimed.
SHAPIRO: NPR’s David Welna, thanks.
