Whether or not Scott is behind the delays, there’s no denying that Rihanna has deployed a different or stunted rollout for ANTI, what would be her eighth studio album and first since 2012.
Over the weekend, songwriter Glass John, who allegedly has a song on Rihanna’s upcoming album, called out Travis Scott on Twitter for delaying Rihanna’s album. Though John has said Anti will be out soon – and that “Kiss It Better” and its video are due soon too – insiders say not to take him at his word.
The songwriter also accused Scott of forcing the 27-year-old to put out the single Bitch Better Have My Money earlier in 2015 as a push for her to record more songs in the hip hop “trap” genre.
“It was Travis idea to name the album ‘ANTI, ‘” he tweeted. Either way, the world is still without a new Rihanna album, and for that, someone is surely responsible.
With a screenshot of the story’s headline on HotNewHipHop, Scott wrote, “Don’t believe this sh*t”.
While Rihanna was also initially quiet regarding the accusations from Glass John, it appears Rihanna has now blocked the songwriter and producer on social media in an effort to prevent him from reading her tweets.
On Tuesday (Dec. 29), Scott responded with a SnapChat. With a new visual each week, fans are getting closer and closer to getting their hands on a copy of the Bajan singer’s new tunes.
John teased the song “Kiss It Better” last December.
