Tributes pour in as we learn more about Prince’s death

Prince was treated for a drug overdose 6 days before his death multiple sources tell TMZ.

The outlet reports that Prince’s plane made an emergency landing in IL early on the morning of April 15, after which emergency responders treated Prince at the airport and then rushed him to a hospital. When was rushed to an IL hospital after his plane made an emergency landing.

At the time, Prince’s publicists said the singer had been suffering from the flu.

According to the TMZ report, doctors gave Prince a “safe shot” after he was rushed to the hospital, something reportedly given to counteract the effects of opiates. However, Prince was released after three hours when his team was told a private room wasn’t available.

And a source at the hospital admitted to the website that they felt the singer left too soon because he was “not doing well” and needed further medical care.

Prince’s representatives have not commented on the allegations.

Prince, who battled chronic hip pain from the wear and tear of touring, took the highly addictive drug after leaving the stage of what became his final concert appearance.

And, although it could be weeks before his cause of death is revealed, the Examiner’s Officer has stated there is “no reason to believe” that Prince had committed suicide.

TMZ had also taken photos of Prince a week before his death visiting his local pharmacy.

TMZ add that authorities are “trying to get the hospital records to help determine cause of death”.

The 57-year-old singer was found unresponsive in an elevator at his Paisley Park recording studio this morning, and his death has left relatives “blindsided”. Little did those fans know that they’d be the very last ones to see Prince perform live.
