“Donald Trump again plays to the white supremacists”, he tweeted.
As you probably know, Trump faced criticism for tweeting an image of Hillary Clinton with a backdrop of money, and the words “Most Corrupt Candidate Ever!” in a six-pointed star. “We found exactly the same star was being used in a book about “Frozen” by Disney“. Referring to the decision to replace the star, he said that he had told some of his campaign workers, “Too bad, you should have left it up”.
This time, though, Trump is using Disney’s “Frozen” to help make his case. Comey’s public demolition of Clinton’s account of her personal e-mail system, and his charge that she and her staff were “extremely careless” in their handling of classified information, gave Trump a chance to reset his campaign.
While the image was criticized as anti-Semitic, Trump suggested during the rally Wednesday that news outlets were actually “racially profiling” by linking the star in the image to the Star of David. “Connecting the Star of David to money and politicians is meant to invoke anti-Semitic stereotypes”.
“I would have rather defended it”, Mr Trump said.
“That’s just a star“, he repeated. Critics said the star bore a resemblance to the Star of David, a Jewish religious symbol, and linked it with corruption.
The tweet criticised the media calling the industry “dishonest”.
However, Mic reported that the image – originally titled HillHistory.jpg – came from an anti-Semitic 8Chan forum, was shared by an anti-Semitic Twitter user and includes a reference to “Heil Hitler” in its file name.
Scavino went on to blame Microsoft for not having a sheriff’s badge shape available for use, saying that this is why he selected the Star of David (even though Scavino says that he did not create the image). Trump’s daughter Ivanka converted to Judaism and she and Kushner are raising their children in the faith.
