Trump launches ‘thank you’ tour Thursday in Ohio

US President-elect Donald Trump said Thursday he has picked the tough-talking retired general James Mattis to be his defense secretary as he soaked up adulation at a buoyant OH rally that recalled this year’s rough-and-tumble campaign. There appears to be no effect for that. Trump brings to the White House a history of fabrications and deceptions on the campaign trail and a reputation as a shady operator in the business world.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump loved the raucous political rallies that marked his campaign – loved them so much he’s doing them again as president-elect.

The Post’s Philip Bump recently ran down other potential conflicts that have emerged in the last few weeks, including Trump projects in the countries of Georgia and Argentina moving forward following his election and, as The Post reported, foreign diplomats apparently using the new Trump Hotel in Washington, D.C., as a way to curry favor with the president-elect.

Regardless of what Barnum claims, many are clearly concerned by the approval, wondering if other federally funded programs will be pushed, or encouraged to approve things that may benefit Trump’s business in the future.

He said on Wednesday he is drawing up legal documents that would remove him from day-to-day business operations.

Do you ever have any question about anything you wish to ask and get answer?

The 70-year-old property tycoon is said to be now worth United States dollars 3.7 billion by Forbes magazine, with more than 500 different enterprises in his business empire. But any determination that he needed to sell the lease entirely could lead to lengthy negotiations that would nearly certainly take longer than the seven weeks left before Mr Trump is scheduled to take the oath of office.

Spokesmen for Trump’s transition and the Trump Organization have not provided details.

“This request is all the more urgent in light of president-elect Trump (sic) announcement this morning that he will be “leaving (his) great business” to his children, a move he felt would be ‘visually important, ‘ ” said the letter from 16 Democrats.

However, the morning tweets did not clarify what, if any, further steps Trump plans to take to ensure no conflicts of interest will occur, raising more questions about how the NY billionaire will manage the potential conflicts of interest between his world-wide business and the presidency after he takes office in January.

Mr. Trump will visit Cincinnati Thursday evening with Vice President-elect Mike Pence for a rally that’s being billed by the presidential transition team as a “Thank You Tour”.

Self-policing has been common in recent presidencies, as well as in the legislative and judicial branches.

This system was set up to allow wealthy Americans to take government jobs and avoid conflicts of interest without a large financial effect.

The statements appear to be at odds with each other – if his children take charge of the business, they may communicate with him about dealings, which could influence policy or vice versa. Even his domestic operations, such as his new hotel at the Old Post Office building in Washington, could trip him. Both nominees will require confirmation by the US Senate. “It’s hard to imagine anyone would have standing”, he said. “Right decision!” one tweet said.

Among them is the emoluments clause, a prohibition on employing relatives, and bribery provisions.

The company, which was expected to move its Indianapolis air-conditioning plant to Mexico (costing approximately 1,400 American jobs), said Tuesday that it had struck a deal with the incoming administration to keep almost 1,000 jobs in Indiana.

Such quandaries thrust the Republican-led Congress into an important watchdog role.

George Gigicos, Trump’s director of advance, said the NY billionaire is expected to focus on battleground states that voted in his favor, like Michigan, Pennsylvania and Florida.
