Trump meets Palestine President, urges resumption of peace talks

During a ceremony to mark the 50th anniversary of the Six Day War, Netanyahu emphasized the importance of U.S. aid to Israel maintaining military dominance in the region.

Standing alongside Trump, Abbas, 82 and in the 12th year of his original five-year term, said he was determined to deliver an agreement for all Palestinians, although he did not provide any substance on how such an objective could be achieved, reported Reuters.

But the reality remains that both sides are stressing different things.

Emphasising the need for a durable peace deal between Israel an Palestine the stability of the region, Trump promised all help to renew the long-stalled talks.
