Trump Says He Is ‘Never Going To Be Going Against’ President Obama

According to CNN Politics, Mr Trump immediately promised that things will be different when he takes office in January, saying “We can not continue to let Israel be treated with such total disdain and disrespect”.

One of the hallmarks of our democratic system is its commitment to the peaceful transition of power. Trump hasn’t talked much about lower court appointments, but transforming the federal judiciary has been a priority for him and Vice President-elect Mike Pence, according to aides. This compulsion, or reflex, to go on the attack against any perceived slight has always been Trump’s MO.

Trump initially took umbrage when the United Nations voted to condemn Israel over its support for the West Bank settlements, and he vented this frustration on Twitter, calling the worldwide organization a “club for people to get together, talk and have a good time”. Throughout the campaign, he pledged that his administration would be a steadfast ally of Israel.

Trump also slammed China for its seizure of an unmanned U.S. Navy underwater drone, calling it “unpresidented” in a tweet before correcting the typo in a new tweet.

“We can not continue to let Israel be treated with such total disdain and disrespect. Stay strong Israel, January 20th is fast approaching”.

Does this mean that Obama could have beaten Trump if he had been able to run for a third term? And “the deal” must be taken literally, since Trump clearly sees doing the nation’s business as being equivalent to doing his personal business.

The Trump transition website promises that the next administration “will unleash an energy revolution that will transform us into a net energy exporter, leading to the creation of millions of new jobs, while protecting the country’s most valuable resources – our clean air, clean water, and natural habitats”.

So when reporters confronted the President-elect Wednesday afternoon and asked him about the status of his relationship with the outgoing president, there was some surprise when he said he thought things were going swimmingly. Trump responded on Twitter, arguing that he would have defeated Obama in a head-to-head matchup.

Then there’s the matter of whether the economy’s performance one way or another will actually help the ordinary people Trump promised to lift up. Statements from the companies made it clear the plans had been previously announced.

“The Obama administration has done a lot unilaterally, and the silver lining of that is that it can be undone unilaterally”, said Nick Loris, an economist at the conservative Heritage Foundation.

The parade will start at the U.S. Capitol with some 40 high school and university marching bands from all over the country following Trump, Pence and their families down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House. Trump’s response to that was “NO WAY!” But supporters maintain that the next president nonetheless respects the transition process and protocols.
